Special relationship of 15th shaban with Ramadan
The mother of the believers mother Asisha RA said she would often not find the Prophet sallahu alihiw asallam at home but in the night time spend a time in the graveyards to remember those who past away.
It also meant it was a turning point to prepare for Ramadan as there are 15 days after which Ramadan enters.
When the Prophet sallahu alihi wasallam was 55 years old Ramadan was instructed to be act upon, it means the companions had 15 years to prepare for Ramadan. Although we do not have 15 years to prepare it means a person cannot simply jump into Ramadan, one needs to prepare.
-. Shaban literally means “Seperate” in other words separate oneself from the dunya and evil habits to the oneness of Allah.
-. Like the sunnah prayers of 2 rakats in Fajar salah for example Shaban is like a sunnah for the Fard of Ramadan. Practising in Shaban is like offering the sunnah unit of prayers. When we first think of Ramadan the first thought which comes into the mind is of food, how one will not be eating in Ramadan. This is incorrect and the real thought should be to stop the evil habits.
-. A person should control his body, mind and heart from evil practising.
-. Put these organs to good use, by remembering Allah and the righteous.
Simply stopping from evil is not enough since once something is idle then it will engage in evil again. Example is like prisoners who are engaged in work in prisons as leaving them idle then they start fighting.
-. It will feel like the limbs are being torn apart from limb to limb when practicing in Shaban. Just as a person trains his body, this is also the same how your spiritual self will feel.
-. It should not be that a person is doing charity, propergation of Islam etc but they do not practise Islam in themselves.
-. Regain the path of righteousness once again
-. For those who are on the path of Islam, theu should be weary from the deception of oneself. Sometimes a person think i am fine and now i need to help others. You must also carry on. Solution is in the next step.
-. Check your intention and refresh your intention always. Using all these tools will teach a person to “separate”
-. The problem is
1. Shaytan does not make a person do good if he does,
2. Then he corrupts the intention,
If a person does a bad deed then shaytan stops a person from doing tawbah.
-. If a sin happens then there are 3 ways it can be turned around. Obviously, sin is a bad thing but if it occurs then it can still be turned around into opportunities.
Example is how the father of mankind was sent down to earth he found tawbah, humbleness and seeking forgivness of Allah. (Although Adam AS did not commit a sin, but for explanation sake it can be understood like a professional diver pearls of benefit can still be attained after a misfortune).
3. Seeking forgiveness of Allah
When sins are committed immediately one should feel regret and remorse for doing that evil without delay. As they say “any sin after which a person feels remorse connects you with Allah azzawajal and a good deed after which you feel arrogant for example this disconnects you with Allah”.
When a person commits sins with the body it can be easily seen but when it is done with the heart and mind willfully it is difficult to know
-. Be very vigilant with your mind as it can do wonders or wonders of evil planning etc.
-. The teachings which are mentioned if not practised it is like ignoring them, rejecting them.
-. It is easy to avoid outward things but to challenge yourself from the inside will improve a person.
-. When the evil traits have been identified then they can be planned on how to defeat them, how to avoid them.
-. Being humble is one of the grestest weapons against all diseases of the ego. What is humbleness? In simple definition it is to continually to accuse your ownself. Practising humbleness can be a means for erasing 90% of dieases and sins.
