The Ultimate Football Team guaranteed to win the #WoldCup!

As the world cup fever reaches fever pitch, this is my alternative world cup coverage.

Ever heard of the cliche, ‘life is a game played well’, or, ‘the game of life’? No? Well, if you have then it is about to go up another notch.

All the aspiring managers, retired football professionals and the arm chair critics out there, if you are thinking of starting your own team, listen up (by this I mean read on) – chuckle…

The game of football is beautiful, to watch, play and even to listen to. The new-age religion of the modern times, a social gathering of rituals where thousands attend mass, sing hymns, praise their deities and then go home and to attend mass the following week.
Anyway without further a do, here is my ultimate football team guareenteed to smash any opposing teams, score countless goals and be the best in the game.

Strikers:
In my team I place ‘Sunnah’ at the front start up line, these players have pace, agility and skills to weave past any opponent.

Mid-Field Players:
These guys known as the ‘wajibaat’, are class, and are the match makers in any game,.. The opposing team will have much to fear of them.

Defence:
This set up is formidable and strong, players here know the game, can deal with any tricks up the sleeve and most importantly have experience playing at this level. They are none other than the ‘fards’. If you have any issues in the team, these guys are sure to hold the fort.

Goal Keeper:
‘Iman’, voted the best goalkeeper of the century and backbone of this team. He is able to withstand and deal with the onslaught of any would be winners of a football game. Can block, save, dive and even leap ahead of anyone to save the game from being lost.

Manager/Coach and back room staff;
My teacher and his back room ‘ijaza’ of doctors and physicians.

What this post is trying to allude to is the showing how all the components of Islam are essential and crucial to one another, #WorldCup2014.
It is to show how each categories in islamic worship compliment and asist each tier of the team in order for a person to succeed in the game of life. Imagine a team with out the strickers, or mid-field players, the defence or even the goal keeper himself. It is easyily understandable how pathetic and unsuccessful a team will be. Now, this is not the end, even if a person has all the components of Islam in his team. I.E he has Iman, fards, the wajibaat, the sunnah in his life. Even then a person will never win any game as he does not have a manager yet, to train and develop his team, the skills set and abilities. A manager is an integral aspect of any team. He will direct the team, bring in his “system”, or ‘tareeqa’ on how the team will be set up. A proven system on how to play. Is it going to be 4-4-2, 4-2-4 or 1-4-5? The manager will teach players how to shoot, save and tackle.
No game is complete without the occasional fouls, the offsides and corner kicks. In this match of life, the fouls caused and free kicks given are the occasions of Ramadan, 10 days of dhul-hujjah, asharah. These are chances to score against the devil, from set pieces. The offsides are the chance to do tawbah, where the goal scored by the devil in making a person sin, is ruled out by the side line ref, who is the shariah.
Occasionally, in the fans stand you see VIP guests like presidents, prime minsters and officials supporting their team. This game is no exception with the best of the best, the prophet sallahualihiwasalam in the fans stand, wishing the team of the believer to win the match of life.

The Opposing Team #DevilEgo

The opposing team is made up of ego as the stickers of the team, the dunya in mid-field and the minions of
the devil in defence and finally the keeper is creation. This is based on a Hadith which emphatically state these are the four obstacles to the closeness of Allah every believer will face in life. Most people never go far in reaching the final goal line, as either the ego, strikers in the opposing team, win the ball back. If they are beaten then there is always the dunya, mid-field players who are slick in passing the ball, can give long ball passes to the ego and entice them to go ahead and scrore. Finally in defence and goal there are the minions of the devil to get past and scrore. This is why when a free kick and corners are awarded to the believer, via Ramadan, hajj, a chance to do tawbah, they are opportunities to score from set pieces and take the game to the devil.

Lastly, with any game of football there is always the post match press to face, in the news conferences and after math. The team that loses usually get a grilling by the post match press. Similarly, in this game of life a believer, should he lose the game, will have to face the post match press of the angels when they will question him deeply and without mercy!

So be prepared and ready to play the game of life, win the match and then all the celebrations to come will be a party of a lifetime. All the supporters in paradise will throw a welcome party not to forget.
