Not so long ago it was all saving, fearless, unstoppable Rooney. But now, many are calling him to lose his place on the England side altogether. If I would take away anything from watching tonight game, England v Itlay, it would be this, the ugly face of dunya shows its true image again. It is amazing to see how fast, swift and dramatically dunya changes. Rooney used to be almost worshipped by many people in England. Claiming to be the go to man for the nation, the one man who will deliver and make it count. But now he is despised and loathed, from a hero to a zero. Many, like his former team-mate Scholes wish him to be placed on the bench and the younger players given greater playing force in the team. He has reached his peak and will be infective, can’t finish off, are just some of the ways people have written him off. The very same people who were all but idolising him a year or two ago have now reduced him to be a worthless space filler. A player who can’t finish or provide the answers when needed.
Men who think, develop, and innovate get these outstanding abilities from taking wisdoms and lessons, inspiration and innovation from all the things around them. As a believer this should be an inbuilt quality in all of us. So, to see the game of football is one thing, but to link it to a degree in order to exemplify a multi tiered series of lessons, should be another thing. Many people thrive on the praise of others, their acceptance and recognition. Yes, it is a good thing and can be a motivating factor. But, one must be bare in mind never to let the superficial praise get to him. He should be able to see through the fog of fake appearance. See it for what it is, that the praises are trivial at best and will undoubtedly change with every passing moment. Life presents a person with many turning points but none of it, or hardly any, will come from predefined agendas. It will come from simple day to day experiences.
What is striking to see is the fashion and rhythm in which the dunya rears its head. In every walk of life from the simple things right up to the important things. Time and again we see dunya’s nature, the very essence and construction of it’s being dramatically demonstrated.
Tomorrows papers are bound to be full with grilling disapproval of Wayne Roony’s performance, which, given the climate they have played, in will make him feel like this when he comes back to England; hot, humid, pressured and tough. It looks like England’s #Worldcup2014 is already over before it even began.
A damp abysmal performance from
