2012: The year ahead

By now most people equate 2012 with the movie ‘2012’. The movie essentially characterises the end of the world. Where untold cataclysmic and devastating events occur changing the face of the world for good. Based on the pagan traditions of the mayans. Who said the world will under go transformative events on the 21st December 2012. With CGI technology and other hollywood magic, it is slightly sensationalised than what the end of the world, may look like in the real world.

I clearly remember at the beginning of the millennium, world wide fear and anticipation gripped the world. The ‘bug’, it was said, would cause tremendous and unfathomable disasters bringing down many if not all the capitalist and other “…list” regimes around the world. Many materialist people thinking it would usher in the end, the-doom-and-gloom, committed suicide. It is strange how we seem to have fallen back into this frenzy of baseless, fiction based theory. As told in the Mayan scriptures. The point of this blog post is to primarily draw your to the attention that the religious traditions, have already, for the last several thousand years tried to bring our attention to this fact. That the world will indeed end, one day. These predictions are far more trustworthy and reliable than the continuous glorified takes of the pagan occultists!
Increasingly, it is noticeable that Hollywood is looking at religious scriptures for its next big blockbuster movie; (with a bit of fantasy mixed in with it of course). From the Christian to the Theo tradition, all have been considered. From the children animated movie to the high-paced action packed movies. Why are they doing this you may wonder?
Well, for a start my assumptions would be to create an audience who are always kept in fear, on-the-edge, and tensed. This will then allow the creators of Hollywood movies to easily manipulate its audience into accepting anything and everything. The theme of the movie may be based on actual historical evident but twisted to create an affair between fiction & non fiction. Take for example the blasphemous ‘the da vinci code’. A movie based on historical events taken from the Christian traditions. With a twisted story to the whole theme.
This is a prime example of how the authentic traditions in many cases are being infected with dangerous ideas and thoughts.

Now, coming to the religious traditions we can find a clear and an extensive coverage of the end times and it’s signs. Namely, the Islamic scriptures are the foremost amongst the rest. We have an ocean of knowledge and hadiths which tell us to the very speck of detail. From the signs of the last day, to the scene of the day of judgement, to that of the last man entering paradise. The Christian scriptures are also very rich with the predictions of the last days. Although, it is not as thorough as the islamic traditions. Christians do have knowledge of “some” signs.
Secondly, the knowledge of the end times (although it is helpful to have) is nothing we need to be dire worried about. Our end time is our own death. The end times of the world is ‘of the world’. Hence this is why it is termed as such. – “the end of the world”. Many people that I know, are aware of such knowledge and the pending doom looming. However, we/they go on living our lives as normal. In the sense that, we do not change our conditions from that of evil and sinful ways to that of the righteous!
(this applies to me more than others).
There are countless “end-times” documentaries widely available to watch, articles to read and speeches to hear. However these have become mere ‘entertainment shows’. We simply view these as if they are theatre shows. When the documentary finishes, we come home and put on another show to watch. We have lost the purpose of viewing/reading or listening to such knowledge. The purpose which was to enable us to change for the better. If we are practicing, then this (the knowledge of the end times) should be a motivation factor for us to carry on practising the dheen. Through the think and thin. In recent times, anti-freemasonic documentaries whom are linked to domination of the world I.e the new world order, are very entertaining to people. The arrivals for example, a documentary highlighting in chronological order how the end time signs have already occurred. Took YouTube by storm, it was seen by countless people, both religious and the non-religious. However, all if not most, viewed the programme as only entertainment. Something to ‘kill time’ with. Losing all the purpose behind any such programmes. – Which was to make people more susceptible to the religious teachings. Therefore leading them to a righteous life, free from evil temptations.

May Allah (subhanAllahu’watala) make us get ready for our own ‘end time’.
May he enable us to prepare and take heed from the knowledge we gain. Especially the signs of the end times. As “these are the dark times we are living through”. Amin

Islam is in the spotlight now more than ever before and this has caused people to question the faith itself and none more so than the new-age modernists muslims, largely from the convert western countries who are hell-bent on reforming Islam and its traditional values. This blog is a small space in the vastness of the internet where the fight to preserve, uphold and dignify the traditional inherent human values, are proactively argued against the onslaught of modernist propaganda and hate. Covering topics from current affairs to life-enriching inspirations, though to the traditional teachings of the pious and the awliyah of the past and the present.
