A Great Warning!

Alhamdulillah, for some time now i have been following a particular deobandi scholar from the UK. For those of you who don’t know what a deobandi scholar is, then for you I’ll briefly explain. In the indian sub – continent there are two major sects or you may call it schools of thoughts. these are the deobandi and the brelvi schools, now these two schools due to their own different understanding of the dheen do not see eye to eye with each other…so to speak. Each other go to great lengths in belittling, even accusing each other of having gone astray and out of the fold of Islam.
Now, this particular deobandi background alim (scholar) is from the UK, a graduate of the bury darul uloom. He is very famous within the youth groups. A rising star like that of Ahmad Ali and others. MashaAllah whatever he says or wherever he holds gatherings/speeches the muslim youth of UK flock to him. However, with great remorse and sadness i have to alert people to his subtle dangerous statements. (now from a personal view i support neither of the schools of thought, namely the brelvi or the deobandi). Nonetheless, on this occasion i have to clearly say what he said on one particular talk is absolutely unacceptable!! (view the video below from 1min:15secs onwards). He compares the youth of today with the master of creation in terms of education. he says and i quote “in many respects, the youth of today can read and write better than the prophet (saw)…” – NAUZIBILLAH!!
How on earth can you even dare to compare the scum (the youth of today) to the best and the greatest creation ever? that is tantamount to doing disrespect of the prophet (saw), which means its can take a person out the folds of Islam. Even if a person ‘seems’ to be knowledgeable! Astagfirullah! my ears are still reverberating from what i just heard… i now understand what our pious predessosors meant by saying to stay away from dangerous and divert ulema. In my eyes and ears for that matter, he has committed a grave mistake. This myth that the prophet (saw) was unlettered did not mean he could not read or write! The awliyah inform us that when the term unlettered is used, it is used to refer to meaning that the prophet (saw) never had a normal teacher that i or you may have. He (saw) was directly taught by Allah (swt). This is why he (saw) is refered to as being the ‘unlettered’ prophet. This is why it is very important tat you gain your knowledge from the rightly guided ulema and awliyah who know the real aqeedah of the ahlulsunnah wal jammah. Just to say something like what he said, shows a lack of disrespect and dishonor to the greatest. How can you say that the layman is equal to the king? just to even think that is absurd and stupid. The ashiqeen (lovers of the prophet (saw)) would not and could not even dream of utter these filthy words which he just did. After hear these unfortunate words come out of the brother – in my eyes he is not an ‘alim’ anymore, as men of knowledge will and do not say such disrespectful and childish things! just to even think that (intentionally) for me would be something very grave… that the scum of the earth are and is better than the gold and platinum of the world? what common and sane person would even think that?
may Allah (swt) guide us all to the straight path and save us from our own egos and shaitan, amin. (listen from 1min 15secs onwards)
